Do I Really Burn Calories While Sitting Around?
Metabolism
When you exercise, it makes your basal metabolic rate go up.
Metabolism-
- The rate that your body changes the calories you eat into fuel and energy for your body
Your basal metabolic rate is a measure of the rate at which a person's body "burns" energy (in the form of calories) while resting. This means that if you have a higher BMR (basal metabolic rate), then even when you are sitting, or sleeping, your body is still “burning” off calories. (Ho, and Dowshen.)

- They have a similar chemical structure to morphine
- Helps to relieve stress
- Puts you in a better mood
